Cowboy Kids Camp

Ride the horses to our historic Outfitters camp along beautiful Toby Creek.  Enjoy dinner and spend the night in the bunk house. This is a great excursion for kids!

1 Night at South Fork

A genuine backcountry cabin camp experience. Ride by Pharaoh Peaks, Mckay falls, as well as the Toby Creek falls on the way to our South Fork Cabin.

2 Night Earl Grey Challenge

Ride by Pharaoh Peaks, Mckay falls, as well as the Toby Creek falls on the way to our South Fork Cabin. Visit the famous Earl Grey Pass, and see amazing views of the Toby Glacier.

6 Night H-Hiking

Let our horses carry all your gear while you hike! This is a 7 day loop, staying in tent camps and one cabin camp along the way. With fresh quality dinners packed by our horses!  Climb Brewer Ridge, go over Macelvenny Pass along the skyline to Ben Able Lake, then head through the Rock Creek Basin into Arrow Head basin and down to our Big Cabin along Dutch Creek, the trip ends at Whitetail Lake.

Build your own trip, just the way you want it! Do you want to hike it or ride it? Stay in cabins, or in tents? How many days do you want your trip to last? What sights do you want to see?  The options are endless, as are the destinations throughout our territories! Dream up your ultimate back country experience and A Bar Z will build it!

What makes an A Bar Z Camp Adventure so memorable?

You don’t need any previous riding experience to thoroughly enjoy this trip! We provide all horses for packing and riding. You’ll stay in single bed, bunkhouse style cabins throughout the Purcell Wilderness Conservancy. All cabins have plenty of room to relax, read, play cards or listen to your guide “spinning a tale”. Your guides prepare home cooked meals for breakfast and supper, as well a bag lunches to take on your daily hike or trail ride.

Riding along well-defined horse trails you’ll journey through lush alpine meadows and majestic Douglas Fir forests, past pristine sparkling mountain lakes. If the urge to stop and fish hits you, we’ll stop – after all – time is boundless in the wilderness!

Trek through pristine mountains with your experienced guide, while horses carry most of your gear. Push the adrenaline rush by hiking extreme mountain tops, knowing that at the end of the day you will experience the ultimate wilderness pampering – fully prepared home cooked meals and sleeping in backcountry cabins. There’s nothing more satisfying than a well-cooked hearty meal in the backcountry after a good day on the trail.
